Nantong Stalford International School now an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) & Diploma Programme (IBDP)

On September 28, 2021, Nantong Stalford International School (NTSIS) was officially authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) as an IBDP. Our school has become the only international school in Nantong to be officially authorized by IB PYP and IBDP.

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) officials visited the school on September 18 and met with the school principals, IBDP coordinator, subject teachers, administrative team, students, and parents. The meeting comprehensively evaluated our curriculum, assessments, communication, reporting and management of skills of the school. In the end, the auditors approved and praised school’s implementation plan for IBDP curriculum in accordance with the IB policy of required teaching standards.

Singapore’s average IB scores and pass rates have outperformed globally for 10 consecutive years. The Switzerland-based IB Organisation said that Singapore accounted for 35 of the 69 perfect scores (45 points) globally this year. 32% of the Singapore IB students scored more than 40 points, which is equivalent to 7.3% globally. Of the 2,250 students in Singapore who took the exams in 2020, 96.66 percent passed, which was much higher than the global pass rate of 70.03 percent. The average scores of Singapore students were also higher than those of their global counterparts: 37.99 points against 28.52 respectively. Singapore schools scored better results in IB exams with more than half of the perfect scores globally.
