In the afternoon of December 18, the brightly-lit Grand Theatre of Nantong Stalford International school was filled with a strong Christmas atmosphere and well decorated with Christmas trees, snowflakes, sleighs, balloons, ribbons, etc. All teachers and students, together with hundreds of parents, gathered here for a gala event to celebrate the upcoming Christmas as well as the New Year.

Principal Wu Heping first delivered an enthusiastic speech extending warm welcome and sincere thanks to the parents and friends for their attendance and expressing appreciation to all the Chinese and foreign teachers and staff of Stalford for their never-ending contribution towards the development of the school. Principal Wu said that through everyone’s efforts, the school spirit and climate of learning in Stalford have also become stronger. The professionalism and devotion of the teaching staff have also won the respect from students and the trust of their parents. Stalford will continue to be focused on students and in creating an educational environment suitable for students’ growth, so that students will have the space to study happily, explore spontaneously and living purposefully. Through these experiences, students will strive to make progress to become the best version of themselves.

The gala event was spectacular and splendid, with singing and dancing performances created, directed and performed by teachers and students of Stalford International School. There were many dancing performances by PYP, Kindergarten Department and junior primary school students such as, Santa Claus is Coming, Jingle Bells, Little Snowflake and Waltz of Love, etc, expressed the children’s joyful mood of looking forward to Christmas. Their adorable performances made parents delighted and gratified, and many shed tears of happiness.

The gala lasted for nearly two hours and was broadcasted live online by “Nantong on mobile” program of Nantong TV Station. The parents who watched the performances spoke highly of the event. They felt that” the programs are wonderful, full of joy and unforgettable”. They also said that this event had made them feel the love of Nantong Stalford International School for their child and the importance the school placed to ensure quality education for each student. They were also satisfied and delighted that their children can study in such an educational environment. They all wished Nantong Stalford International School greater success in the coming new year.
