2020 Math Kangaroo (MK) Awards Winners

On 18th April, 202022000 students were doing their Math Kangaroo competition online or in their respective MK exam centres.

There are 6 levels of categories in the competition. Level 1 is for Year 1 – 2. Level 2 is for Year 3 – 4. Level 3 is for Year 5 – 6. Level 4 is for Year 7 – 8. Level 5 is for Year 9 – 10. Level 6 is for Year 11 – 12. Our students have altogether won 3 Silvers, 1 Bronze and 9 Proficiency Awards from the competition.

Math Kangaroo

Math Kangaroo is initiated by Peter O’Halloran, an Australian mathematician and teacher in the 1980s. In 1991, this competition was established by two famous Math professors in France. Soon, it spread throughout Europe. The competition was named as “Math Kangaroo” in honor of Peter O’Halloran.

Honors

I’m glad that I have won the silver medal in this competition. I won’t let it go to my head because of this success. I believe that by persevering harder can I do even much better. I also want to thank the school for providing me with such a good learning environment and the teachers for their meticulous guidance. I believe I will do even much better in the future! Thanks to Stalford’s grooming and guidance, Teacher meticulous coaching and the care and support from my parents and classmates which have helped me to win the bronze medal in the Math Kangaroo competition. I want to express my most sincere gratitude to all of you. You have given me the confidence to pursue a better future and a better tomorrow.

Epidemic has affected our pace, but it could not dampen our passion for learning. We would like to acknowledge the effort put in by our students for their active participation in the competition. Once again, congratulations to all our award winners and we hope to see more of our achieving students doing us proud by winning more international awards in competitions!
